The Community Living Port Colborne / Wainfleet (previously the Port Colborne District Association for Community Living Inc, originally the Port Colborne District Association for the Mentally Retarded) was organized and incorporated in 1962 to plan and provide services for individuals identified as having a developmental disability to ensure them the opportunity to live active lives in the community. The objective in planning services and supports is to assist each person in realizing their individual potential and enable them to enjoy the quality and equality of life in the community.
Community Living Port Colborne / Wainfleet is governed by a Board of Directors of up to 16 people. These include parents of individuals that have a developmental disability as well as other interested and involved citizens of Port Colborne & Wainfleet.
The Board is responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of all policies of the Association and of all programs and services provided by the Association.
In order to accomplish our vision and mission we need the input and continued support of
a strong membership, so our voices can be heard.
We sincerely hope that every family receiving support services
will renew or purchase a membership.
