What is CAP?

The Community Access Program (CAP) is a Government of Canada initiative, administered by Industry Canada, that aims to provide Canadians with affordable public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it effectively.

Where & When do I go?

Our location is open Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You can reserve a seat by calling 905-835-8941 ext. 0, but walk-ins are always welcome.

 

What is available to me?

We have 3 computers with a fast DSL connection to the internet. Every computer has a word processor installed and is connected to a laser printer. There is even a scanner available for you to use.

 

How much does it cost?

Nothing at all. Access to the public is free of charge.

 

System Details

Our three systems are Intel Celeron 996 MHz desktop computers with 128 MB of RAM. All systems are complete with Microsoft Windows XP Home, Microsoft Office AND Corel WordPerfect Office. You can browse the web with either Internet Explorer 6 or Netscape 6. The DSL connection delivers the Internet to you at 0.7 - 1.2 megabits per second.
