Community Living Port Colborne / Wainfleet
(previously the Port Colborne District Association for Community Living Inc), was organized and incorporated in 1962 to plan and provide services for individuals identified as having a developmental disability, to ensure them the opportunity to live active lives in the community. The objective in planning services and supports is to assist each person in realizing their individual potential and enable them to enjoy the quality and equality of life in the community.
Community Living Port Colborne / Wainfleet is governed by a Board of Directors of up to 16 people. These include parents of individuals that have a developmental disability as well as other interested and involved citizens of Port Colborne & Wainfleet.
The Board is responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of all policies of Community Living and of all programs and services provided to over 200 individuals and their families by Community Living.
