Great News About The Centre for Community Living

Renovations to turn the old St. Teresa’s School into our new Centre for Community Living are almost complete. Our vision of having a facility that included office space for administration and program managers as well as program areas for adults and children has finally become a reality.

 

Administration staff as well as the program managers and coordinators, moved into the facility in early September 2004. The centre is used in part by the day camp program this summer.

 

Program areas include the day activity program, evening and weekend children and teen activity programs and the Social / Recreation program. Both Boards of Education and a number of organizations have also expressed interest in developing community partnerships to share space in the new centre.

 

The Capital Campaign to raise the estimated $700,000 for this project has started in our community. The committee members have provided suggestions and a number of fund raising initiatives are underway. Please see Fund Raising for more details on these initiatives.
